FORGET Rio and Venice. Formigal is where you want to be for Carnival next month but remember to pack your fancy dress.
The resort in the Spanish Pyrenees is going back in time to the Swinging Sixties this year as staff don afro wigs and hippie shirts and remember the events of the decade which changed the world, to the sounds of the Beatles and the Stones.
There are surprises for anyone who comes in 60s fancy dress, but it must be from head to toe! OK, perhaps platform skis aren’t possible but how about some Flower Power boots? Or a Mod ski suit?
Events will be celebrated on the slopes on the 13th, 14th and 15th of February and the resort bars will be pumping to the carnival fever in the evenings.
