FORGET the catwalks of London, Paris and Milan, Formigal is where fashion is at this week as some of the top names present their new collections for the 2010-2011 season.
The resort in the Spanish Pyrenees is welcoming big brands from the ski industry, including London-based snowboard boot manufacturers, Sole Technology. A team of 23 Brits from Sole Technology will come to Formigal to present their new ‘32’ collection, along with representatives of the joint UK and Spanish company Megasport, which features new lines from Dynastar, Rossignol, Spyder, Roxy and Lange among others.
As if this fashion fest wasn’t enough, the car company Nissan is offering skiers and boarders the chance to win a Nissan Qashqai, throughout the season, by taking part in their Tough like Qashqai? Prove it! Challenge.
And when the sun starts to set and the lifts close the new après-ski bar, Marchica, is the place to be seen. Open daily till midnight the new bar is at the foot of the slopes and gets going as soon as the ski day ends. Every night sees a different party theme, including flower power 60s evenings with go-go dancers, dance-offs and fancy dress, beer parties with prizes to win and drinks to give away, chill out evenings, a 70s, 80s and 90s electric disco and best of all happy hour on Saturdays!
Formigal is offering 2X1 liftpasses for the rest of the season and a free child liftpass for every adult liftpass booked.
