The immaculately groomed pistes, with unsurpassable levels of safety and comfort, are equipped with a high-capacity lift system and comfortable hands-free lift passes incorporate a system which prevents inadvertent access to slopes beyond the abilities of the skier. In the search for excellence, Formigal constantly updates its facilities and activities to offer all the latest trends in winter sports. A further 25km of new pistes for the 07/08 season, pushes Formigal into the lead as Spain’s largest ski resort. New Freeride areas have been added as well as a second Snowpark. Also new for the 07/08 season are Heliskiing and Ski ratrack. The new Terrain Park offers freestyle, snow-biking, snow mobiles, dog-sledding and bump skiing. There are also new cross-country and snowshoe circuits. For the more daring, the Bordercross area has marked tracks with banked turns for the exhilaration of high-speed competitive descent while the snowparks cater specifically for snowboarders. From the adrenalin-charged experience of driving a dog-sled or skidoo to enjoying a drink on the panoramic sun-deck, there is something for everyone in Formigal.
